THE BAND:
BRIAN STUART (a.k.a. Jon B) began his music career at the age of seven when he first picked up a guitar and started singing along with the likes of John Denver and Rod Stewart. Everything was going swimmingly until he discovered a new band called Kiss and knew at that point behind a set of drums was where he belonged. He started playing professionally at the age of 12 and was a veteran of live performance by the time he stepped out front as a lead vocalist for the first time his senior year of high school. He picked up his guitar up again and started playing some rhythm as well as writing original tunes at this point. Fast forward many years and gigs later and Brian is still playing the music he loves in whatever capacity he can. Growing up in the 80s, the music of Bon Jovi are familiar favorites and challenges him nightly as a vocalist.
JAY BURNS (a.k.a. Hugh McD. w/a side of Alec) started playing music at 11 years old. The trombone was his band instrument of choice before he was lead astray by the rock guitar gods of the 70s and 80s. Jay picked up the guitar at 12 and was playing shows with a working band by 13. In his 20s, he picked up the bass and has since made it his main instrument. Jay has played in several successful bands over the years and vows to keep playing live until he just can't do it anymore. Jay's musical influences/tastes are diverse including rock, soul, country, Carolina beach, Reggae, college rock (a.k.a. alternative), etc... Favorite bands include Bon Jovi, Ratt, Poison, Cinderella, Van Halen, The Hoodoo Gurus, REM, The Cure, The Cars, The Cult, INXS and most of the bands from the second British wave of the 80s. Jay is the brainchild behind the formation of Shot Thru the Heart and is in awe of how much fun this project is and is most appreciative of the fans who support them.
JOHN MARTIN (a.k.a. Tico T) Many of you may already know John from his 10+ years on the road as the drummer for the OG Bon Jovi Tribute, Slippery When Wet. John has been playing professionally since he was a teenager and has toured the U.S. and overseas with SWW. While with SWW, John played for the troops in Jordan & Djibouti and played the Jon Bon Jovi’s Runaway Tour Cruises. John is an amazing drummer and an exceptionally nice guy. John also acts and has been seen in several TV shows, streaming series, and major movies.
EVAN ST. JAMES (a.k.a. David B) is a formally trained pianist but has been rocking the Keyboards in various touring and local rock bands since he was a mere ladd. Also known as "Van" he has played nearly genres of music. However, he has a preference for the great keyboard heavy rock bands of the 70s and 80s. Bon Jovi is right up his alley. Not only does he provide the keys, he has an amazing voice.
CHRIS CLARY (a.k.a. Richie S) - Chris started touring with USO at the ripe old age of 17 playing military bases from the North of Alaska to the Johnston Atoll in the South Pacific. Chris toured through Germany, Iceland, South Korea, and Japan. Over the past decades Chris has played and recorded with Metallic Blue recording artists Stryder and Bad Boys out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Stryder placed 2nd in MTV Basement tapes contest and Bad Boys was featured in Rip magazine. Chris has enjoyed lots or airplay on the ZRock radio network winning weekly and monthly listener poll contests. More recently, he has played Played in Charleston favorites Cherry Bomb, Fire Apes, and Head Rush. When Chris is not rocking out Bon Jovi tunes with STTH you can likely hear him at a local venue in the Charleston area playing with his amazing band MOXIE.
